Callie Carlene is here!

On Tuesday, Oct 23, 2007 Jake and I finally got to meet our daughter after many months of anticipation. She was born at 10:57 am and was 5lbs 14oz and 19inches long.
Jake and I went to the hospital on Monday night at about 10:00pm after I thought my water had broke. Come to find out my water hadn't broke, but the hospital let me stay because I was 5cm dialated and my contractions were coming every 2-3 mins. However, at about 3:00am my contractions completely stopped. The nurses said we would have to wait to see what my dr. wanted to do. So after a sleepless night, the doc gave the go ahead to start me on pitocin. The nurses did that at about 7:30 and then Dr. Perrin broke my water at 8:54. 2 hours later little Callie was here and I was exhausted. I went through labor without any drugs and thought to myself that I would never do it again naturally, but now I am thinking otherwise :)
Jake was a wonderful labor coach! I only had to raise my voice twice, once when he was occupied with Sports Center on EPSN and the other when he wanted to talk about hunting in the middle of a contraction. Anyhow we are so greatful our daughter is here!
